Our niece Catherine came to visit us right after we got back from Paradise Valley! She flew out by herself, stayed at our house, and went to girl's camp with Bree. She was a little bit melting in the Arizona heat, so we spent a lot of time at the pool. One benefit of that was that we got to hone our slo-mo videos.

Other stuff we did with Catherine:
4th of July fireworks at the Kaze house with the full Blood pack, the Hornes, and the missionaries.
Time Machine Museum of Miniatures. Isaac was particularly enchanted with the little animals on motorcycles that drove around on loop.
We also took a trip to the Children's museum. The secret highlight for me is always building little carts in the create room. We made a pretty sweet one for Isaac!
I tried to be a cool aunt and take Catherine on a foraging expedition to collect mesquite pods. We ended up getting out of the house later than anticipated, and she pretty much melted in the heat. We ended up with enough pods to make about a cup of mesquite flour, which we made into pancakes.
