Aaron is absolutely the rock of our family. He's our moral backbone. Most parents set goals like "I want our kids to eat healthy." Aaron will explain to the kids that the official recommendation for kids their age is to eat 2.5 cups of vegetables a day and then put a system in place to encourage them to eat that much. He's been surprisingly effective at getting the kids to eat vegetables, get out of breath minutes (we have OOB Mins trackers on our wall), and revamp our screen time policy. Frequently I'll hear his proposal and think "no way will the kids go along with this" but somehow he convinces them that they want to have healthy habits. He's also started taking the older kids on daddy dates. He's a guy that's deliberate about doing good things.

Aaron at 35
Getting his birthday spanks
Aaron requested baklava instead of cake this year.
A couple of days later we tried out a restaurant called Tumerico for his birthday meal. It was Yelp's highest rated restaurant in the country last year! It was a hole in the wall with such good food! It was vegetarian which blew my mind because there was some green stuff that sure tasted and felt like well seasoned meat in my Mexican influenced Ethiopian platter.
Aaron tearing it up on the soccer field when Mary's kids came to visit. He's the jock of the family.
Lately he's been waking up early on Saturdays to play ultimate Frisbee. He also still goes running twice a week.
The kids LOVE it when Aaron pretends they are soggy bananas and throws them on the compost bin bed.
This guy is the best and we love him so much!
