After Rocky point, we were home for three days then set off again for San Diego! Our friends the Coes invited us to come visit them, and we decided to visit Legoland while our kids are the optimal age to enjoy it.
Lego dragon!
Lego monkeys!
One of the greatest parts of Legoland is that they have Lego play tables in areas where you have to wait in line. We visited on a Friday in October, so it wasn't super crowded.
The submarine ride!
Blasting targets while driving through Pharaoh's Revenge. This was Elliot's second favorite after the Ninjago ride.
Isaac and Annie love this type of ride
We were hoping that Elliot and Wyatt would hit it off again, but they spent most of our trip ignoring each other. Emmett is Annie's age but is the daredevil of their family, so Elliot and Emmett ended up being waiting in line buddies.
Isaac was technically too young to ride this, but I'm glad that I put him on it anyway. He loved it.
Driving school! They gave each of the kids a license after driving around the Lego go karts.
Isaac and Kenna both miserably failed at the kiddie driving school. They couldn't wrap their heads around the gas pedal concept.
Annie spent the whole time being so excited for the Unikitty tower drop ride
Isaac was SO proud of his creation that he got to display on the wall!
The playgrounds were super impressive! This one had the little kids sprint climbing to the top over and over again. There was also a wooden giant fort and other ones as well. We could have spent hours at each.
The next morning we got to hang out at the Coe's house, get a tour of the epic casita they are building, and see the orchard Walter is putting in. The kids insisted on swimming even though it was chilly, so the grown ups got to have some great pool side chats.
We enjoyed our quick fall break trip! Big shout out to the Coe's for hosting us!
