Our deacons put together a very impressive tree of life experience! There was a path to walk as Declan Tressler in Nephi garb guided us through and narrated the dream. There was a fog machine, an iron rod, and so much more!
The mists of darkness and great and spacious building
The tree of life! The fruit was marshmallows. Afterwards, there was hot chocolate. The activity was a huge hit!
Aaron is the High Council member over building facilities. He now has to spend an unfortunate amount of time making sure that all the buildings are properly stocked with supplies. He was released from the bishopric in Summer 2023. He was conducting Sacrament Meeting on the day he was released and was very excited to announce his own releasing and calling as a primary teacher. The Stake President was there that day. He looked at the announcements sheet and told Aaron not to read the primary calling. It was almost the perfect mic drop moment!
Look how handsome this sunbeam is in his Sunday best!
The name's Blood. Isaac Blood.
Alexis Kaze, our ward's adult Sunday School teacher and my good friend, started a Sunday afternoon study course once a month. We get together and watch modules of a video series called "Seeking Jesus" and have great discussions. The kids love it because they get to play in the Kaze's awesome garage rumpus room. The picture above is Elliot jumping into a bean bag out of the hammock that can only be accessed by the climbing wall.
We have an awesome ward and can't overstate the richness that the church gives to our lives.
